RollerCoaster Tycoon 2[]
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (RCT2 for short) is the sequel to RollerCoaster Tycoon and the prequel to RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is very similar to RollerCoaster Tycoon, as it uses the same gaming engine. However, it includes new rides and more scenery decorating capabilities (User-created buildings, for instance). RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 differs greatly from RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, mainly because RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 makes the transition to 3-D.
Expansions[]
There are two expansions for RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. The first is Wacky Worlds, which includes all 7 continents and follows a world theme. The second is Time Twister, which has a time based theme. Both expansion introduce themed rides and more scenery. These two expansions and the regular game are bundled together in Triple Thrill Pack.
Reception[]
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 got overall good reception. However, many people complained there were not enough new elements introduced, making the game too similar to RollerCoaster Tycoon. However, since RollerCoaster Tycoon was a good game to begin with, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 got good reviews in general.
